SOSTRE AT 100
A celebration of Sostre at the 100th anniversary of his birth
A historical overview of Martin Sostre's life was displayed for visitors of the Harry Belafonte Library on 115th Street, one of Sostre's childhood libraries during his upbringing in Harlem. The display was up from March-June of 2023.

On March 23rd 2023, for the second night of Sostre at 100, a pop-up recreation of the Afro Asian Bookstore in Exile was constructed in the Langston Hughes Lobby of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. The bookshop in exile included some of Sostre's personal books, books that were sold in the original Afro Asian Bookstore, books available for checkout with a library card, and a zine table with dozens of titles available.
